THE TORNADOES – “ROBOT” – featuring Joe Meek

by Red Cell

One of the UK’s most prolific and interesting music makers, Joe Meek had over 50 charting hits from 1960-67. He was called the Alchemist of pop music and released literally hundreds of discs in that short time., often employing unusual electronics and synthesizers, earning him a large following to this day. Interestingly, Meek was tone deaf!
