One of the UK’s most prolific and interesting music makers, Joe Meek had over 50 charting hits from 1960-67. He was called the Alchemist of pop music and released literally hundreds of discs in that short time., often employing unusual electronics and synthesizers, earning him a large following to this day. Interestingly, Meek was tone deaf!
This is a very silly film shot for the song “Robot” by The Tornadoes (most famous for their song “Telstar”), of which Meek was a member.
