Rowland S Howard, contributor to influential bands The Birthday Party, Crime and the City Solution, These Immortal Souls, The Bad Seeds and Einsturzende Neubauten as well as a collaborator with musicians like Nick Cave, Lydia Lunch, Nikki Sudden and Henry Rollins, is dead at the age of 50 while waiting for a liver transplant.
