Patricia, Glad you chose a picture of my gallery for this discourse. I would love to continue this dialogue about the Santa Fe Art Scene and how I see myself as a fresh new 'contributor'. I can proudly say that 2011 brings me into my 40th year of running studios, alternative spaces, and commercial galleries...from NYC, to Memphis, TN, to here in Santa Fe. My approach is simple and direct; it is one of collaboration. Collaboration of the artists, other dealers, designers, architects, historians, developers, collectors (both private and corporate), educators, and community activists. I am deeply appreciative of my working relationship with artist and curator, David Solomon. I hosted his recent Valentine's show, "Heart this!" at my gallery in the Artyard. More than that, I respect David's unique artistry...he currently has a one-man exhibition at my space. There is much to discuss about building a powerful contemporary art scene and a strong support system around it; I would like to be part of the ongoing dialogue. My very best regards, Jay
