In the year 2000, Jem Finer‘s Longplayer was born into reality. It is a 1,000 year long musical composition that has been continuously playing since that date.
This October 16th, 18 musicians will perform a 1,000 minute version (16.6 hours) of this work using singing bowls.
The “Long Conversation” will be happening at the same time with a 6 hour relay of one-to-one conversations by Bay Area elite (see below) with real time data visualization performance by Sosolimited from M.I.T.
