Experimental video composer and designer Daniel Swan generated a hyperreal rendering of a weeklong vacation for Cottweiler‘s Spring/Summer ’15 collection. Swan’s digital landscapes, stylized glitch, and hi-fi mashups have provided backdrops to M.I.A. performances, promo’d Mykki Blanco, and serve as an increasing handful of music videos. You also might remember him from our feature on his visual ode to cyberpunk aesthetics back in 2011.
In Time Shares, originally showcased at the ICA, Swan’s interpretation of the SS15 Cottweiler collection presents the edges of a seven day holiday experience. Clean planes and precise forms develop Swan’s futuristic vision amidst organic reality. The hotel, the swimming pool, the water bottle, the view from the airplane window float abstractly in this suspended narrative. The five minute short features music from Palmistry.
