The name is Shawn Trenell O’Neal (A.K.A Ultraviolet or UV). Born in Illinois, 1971, I’ve been an avid listener and collector of exotic music for as long as I can remember. Having the rich and vibrant Chicago underground music scene of the early and late eighties at my fingertips, made my excursions and forays into the dark and brooding folds of the truly great record labels such as 4AD, Beggars Banquet, Mute, Stiff Records, Wax Trax, and Rough Trade all the more easy. I have studied extensively at Northern Illinois University as well University of Colorado Denver where I am currently studying history. I have traveled extensively always in search of museums, stunning visuals, and stunning audio. I am one of the founding members of High Mayhem Emerging Arts www.highmayhem.org. I am presently a member of the Vega Evaga sound and video project www.vegaevaga.com. As a turntable soloist, and as a part of The Late Severa Wires, I have toured all over the U.S. with my own unique style of djing and audio expeditions. I currently reside in Denver Colorado.
