Independent writer, journalist and translator Olga Drenda has been a contributor to a number of printed and online magazines in Poland and the US, writing mostly about photography (choosing theory instead of taking mediocre pictures), literature and music (which she tries to put into practice as well, playing a metal percussion for an industrial-ish outfit Theme with former members of Splintered). Not surprisingly for an anthropology graduate, her interests cover a vast range of topics, including music and sound art, vintage audio equipment, history and theory of photography, unusual forms of spirituality, bizarre cultural phenomena, history of the 20th century, and rabbits. She works also as a German-English translator for an unofficial Einstürzende Neubauten website and cooperates with Unsound Festival.
